I have a 65 barracuda in the process of restoration, In the process of the body resto i have misplaced the door frame ID Plate. Does anyone know of a place to get a repo plate if I fail to locate the original.

Did you search the site for Id plate? Someone else had the same problem a couple weeks ago. Made me go to the garage and pick mine up off the tool box and put it with the title. Good luck.

The Vin should never be removed from the car.
Its high enough on the door jamb, that it shouldn't rust there.
I know that in some states if you have a good paper trail/
proof of ownership, you can get a replacement State VIN.

The steel rivets on mine and a friend of mine rotted off. After pounding on my torsion bars to remove them, I literally found mine had fallen off and was laying on the garage floor.
