Have read the fuel cap chart but still unsure of the application of this cap. The part that goes down the tube measures 1.350 inch any ideas would be appreciated.

Looks like a standard gas cap for an older Ford truck like mine. I will go out and measure in a bit.

Although it looks just like my Ford cap on the back side, mine measures 1.485 in the diameter that goes into the fuel filler neck.

That sir looks exactly like the gas cap for a 1977 Chevrolet Fleetside pickup.

I had one of those and it had caps that looked exactly like yours.

See below:

What do you think???

What does the part that goes inside the filler tube measure, the outside diameter?
Unfortunately, I don't know.

I just remembered that the gas caps on the Chev truck I owned looked exactly like the one you posted. I checked online and found one and sure enough it looks the same. Maybe another member on here has one to get the measurements you are looking for.

BTW, back when I had the truck, these caps were extremely hard to find. There were Chrome generic replacements available but were not available to paint body color.

Cheers!

It just looks a little larger.
Possibly but try blowing up the pics of yours. The contours around the handle and the layout of the gasket and the locking tabs look identical.
