Before I order new shoes and pads for my 69 Barracuda I wanted to ask if anyone can help me identify my front brakes, this is a UK import car, which I have been told would have Kelsey Hayes discs.
The rotors are 11” diameter, 0.8” thick. I have attached a few pictures, the caliper has a part number 71915.
I am thinking of using EBC green stuff pads part number DP21157 which are listed for the Barracuda on the EBC website. Would these be compatible with the calipers? I have 10” x 1.75” drums at the rear and was going to go with Dynamic Friction shoes, any thoughts on those?

Those are Kelsey Hayes calipers for sure. I can't help you with EBC or Dynamic Friction parts as I am not familiar with their products. I will say though put the best pads and shoes on that you can afford, when you hit the brake pedal you want it to stop not just slow down.

Yes, you have Kelsey-Hayes calipers, and yes the EBC pads you note will fit.
Friction material can be a matter of preference. EBC pads are expensive on this side of the Atlantic, so I haven't tried them. I just use cheap semi-metallic pads. I have heard a positive review of Red Stuff pads in the same application.

Can I ask an unrelated related question...

As for pads, what are your intentions with the car?

car shows, daily driver, autocross, curved roads ?

Thank you, EBC certainly have a good reputation here, among different classic car groups, they're not the cheapest but they are certainly cheaper here than in the US.

Thank you, the dimensions of the EBC pads looked good but best to check.

That I do believe is snot. The dust cap on the spindle was loose so that was from the spindle end. As for use, not racing, but I would like as much as possible to get the car set up for really reliable daily and long distance cruising. It's a 318, the PO hotted it up a bit with a Holley 4BBL and Dominator inlet, a B and M shifter and kit and possibly different cams. It might sound strange to some but I would rather it had all original instead for the use i intend.

I tried a semi metallic pad on my Kelsey Hayes discs, I was not happy with the stopping performance. On the advice from (legendary member) sgbarracuda, I switched to Bendix SBC11 ceramic pads. Made a big difference for me. Stops like discs should now.

Thanks Glenn, I ordered the EBC pads at the moment because they're availiable in the UK, I'm having a brief holiday from paying shipping and UK VAT and customs charges on parts from the USA, and we say we dont charge tariffs over here, we pay VAT on everything from everywhere:)
