I hate that term, but I digress... after removing the ammeter from the charging circuit like was explained here in a different post, does anyone know how to wire in an idiot light, I want to have something until I can get the set of matching gauges that I want.

Unfortunately, the Mopar systems aren't designed to trigger an idiot light and it would take a lot of work to install one.

well well well... lookie what I found... look at caption #4.

bought the switch from summit (Standard brand, part # PS233). I cut the plug off of a early 90's Dodge B2500 van with a V-6 in it from Pick-N-Pull. Now gotta think of a stealthy way to add a small light in the dash somewhere in my line of sight.

Idiot light for.... "idiot" lights light on anywhere from 1 to 1,000 different conditions...

You have to tell us what you want the idiot light to do. Do you want it to come on for an under- voltage or over-voltage condition or for oil pressure issues or what?

its for low oil pressure, my duster has a gauge but I like to have a light also and did not want to install that cobbled up abomination of 2 separate switches of the factory pickup setup. Sorry I just noticed that I didn't specify oil. Anyways E-Booger sez this setup with this switch will operate a gauge and trigger a light too.
