Idler Arm Dust boot

Replacing the idler arm on my 72 demon and ordered one from autozone which was just a relabeled moog part. I noticed that it did not come with a new dust boot but it did come with all new hardware so maybe it got left out. Went on Rock Autos website and looked it up and all of their idler arms do not show a dust boot in the picture. Then I looked at my old one and there wasn't one on their either.

Now I'm drawing a blank as to if the original one had one at all or if it just fell off when I took it apart.

I feel kind of dumb for this but I would think they would have a dust boot on the center link end right?

There is no dust boot included w/ an idler arm or pitman arm anymore. Just a sponge/felt type gasket.

Moog quit supplying the boots quite a few year ago, but the center link end for the idler arm did come w/ a boot from the factory.

So what do i use instead? the felt washer or nothing?
