I would sell it all. If it came down to the well being of your family and you held onto something because it's been in the family forever then you are either foolish or lying.

My family has stuff that's been handed down for a lot of generations. At the end of the day though it is still just stuff. Think about what your dead grandparent would say if your family was starving and you wouldn't sell a car because it's been in the family a long time.

People get too attached to objects and end up putting them before their families. There is something wrong with that!

I've been fighting that for decades, to no avail. By being "cooperative" in the winter of my life, I can become VERY profitable, very comfortable, and impacted into the political system, by selling out the constituency for personal gain, power, and profit. Nothng new, just play the game as it's played today.

"Gifts" from labor unions, minority organizations, special interest groups, anti-Christian organizations for the purpose "swaying" your vote to their favor, knowing full well the the main stream media will never hold you accountable for any of it, as a Democrat, might actually help you if someone does blow the whistle on you.

It's a sure bet, Wolfie, it relieves all your financial woos, gives you a purpose in life, take little physical effort, no scruples, and in the end you leave with the best health care 300+ million people can pay for, and a retirement package that is better than any other on the planet, and might only take you 2 years to earn.

Frankie would you be able to sleep at night or look at yourself in the mirror to shave. I am not perfect and have done a few things in my life I am not proud of. If I ran for office I could not turn my back on the Constitution. I don't think I would fit in with the liars and thieves and party doesn't really matter. :violent1:
 
If I had to........I'd have to sell the car! I got $3,800 into it, so, IF I could get $2,000 It go. The truck nope it be the only "wheels" I'd have them and its big enough to haul things AND all my family comfortably too....Not to mention legally....The car can haul us all comfortably, BUT it can't haul 3 tons of crap outside the passenger compartment, safely, as the truck can and will, plus the truck in "New England" is a 4X4 meaning we get snow, HELLS of it, so... yep the car would go!

First: I have no plans, or desire to run for public office. I'm retired, and I don't want to take the cute in pay.
Second: Geez! DO you really think I could act like a Democrat if I ran for office? REALLY?
Third: The suggestion was for Ray to run for office, not me.

I never asked for suggestions to help me. Just a hypothetical question of what would you sell if YOU needed money.
No need for anyone to get their panties in a bunch. Everything posted is not of a serious nature. Particularly by me.

...and I gave you a "hypothetical" answer. I wouldn't sell, I'd find a way to make the money I needed.

My response (post #14) was to you post #7. and it seems to be pretty clear that it, too was "hypothetical.

Evidently a number of people misunderstood it, or didn't read, especially the opening comment.
