I have a '73 Duster 340. There is a condensor looking thing grounded between the coil mounting bracket and intake manifold. It is wired to one of the leads on the ignition coil. Does anyone know what it's for? I just swapped in a Mopar electronic igntion, distributor, ECU & ballast resistor. I am about to swap in an MSD blaster 2 coil/8202 but found the condensor thingy. Thanks - T340

so if I don't have a radio then I guess I really don't need it?

You may want to keep it, unless your using points.

It helps keep electrical interference from annoying
electronics of all kinds, including electronic ignition modules. ;)
