IHRA buys Maple Grove

I am local to Maple Grove, and my thoughts are for the weekly bracket racer, nothing will change. They have been bracket racing 1/8 mile for years, like New Media. The problem with the 1/8 mile race at Maple Grove, is there isn't a good early turn off so you have to go to the end of the track. So it doesn't save any time. I heard that the Nostalgia racers were upset, because they don't want to race 1/8 mile. But the past year the big nostalgia race was 1/4 mile.

Yes I know what you mean. I've come down from Maine to run in the Independence Showdown race they have at MGR and running 1/8 mile there seems to take forever to get to the turn off at the end of the track! Same at New England Dragway in New Hampshire when they run 1/8 mile events.
