I just recieved the Highway 61 1968 Barracuda die cast in 1/18 scale and let me say, it's an exceptionally NICE piece! Almost every piece of trim is seperate, the proportions are almost perfect, and the level of detail is great, especially for $32! I bought a blue one that I will morph with the `66 Hemi under Glass edition and make a `68 H.U.G. and I bought a white one that will be the basis for a replica of my car. The cars even have split bench seats and 4 spd. just like my car! The different colors have different wheels covers and trim levels. The white one has the dog dish hub caps too. Now all I have to do is disassemble it and break out my air brush and squirt on some LL1 turquoise and shove in a 6 Bbl. small block.

I highly recommend buying one if you own, or like, the `68 B`cuda's. NICE STUFF!

I got the white one for my nephew for Christmas. I'd agree with John, they are super nice with a lot of detail.

Turns out, my sneaky nephew got it out of the box (his die cast cars are supposed to remain IN the boxes). Of course he started playing with it, and broke one of the mirrors off. :roll:

I think I'll buy myself one though!

I am very surprised they didn't make a die-cast 70 Dart yet.

Hang in there.... you never know. After that poor Maitso `69 Barracuda from a few years ago I thought I'd NEVER see a "correct" `68 version and here it is. :drunken:

The hiway 61 Darts are very nice as well.

I have a Black 68 GSS. The detail is great, even has seat belts and buckles, sunvisors.
Now I need a 70-72 Swinger and 70 Chally conv to die happy
