Ok so I picked up my gasket set for the 318 from a local shop here in Albuquerque yesterday, and I'm ready to start tearing apart the motor to put all the new ones in. Here's the gaskets I got:

Timing Cover
Water Pump Body
Exhaust Manifold (2)
Timing Cover Seal
Timing Cover Dust Seal
Intake Valve Stem Seals (8)
Distributor O-Ring (2)
Oil Pan End Seal (4)
Exhaust Valve Stem Seals (8)
Oil Filter Gasket
Oil Pump Gasket
Valve Cover (2)
Intake Manifold Rear
Intake Manifold Front
Oil Pan (2)
Water Outlet (3)
Distributor
Fuel Pump Mounting
Cylinder Head Pipe
Oil Filter Adapter
Oil Pan Drain Plug
Air Injector Exhaust Check Valve (2)
Plastic Locating Pin (4)
Head Gasket (2)
Intake Manifold (2)
Heater Manifold
Diverter Valve to Air Pump (2)
Rear Main Bearing
Oil Filter Base Screw Lower
Oil Filter Base Screw Upper

Whew. Thats alot. So anyways, I need to know what gaskets am I going to need sealers, or other items, for. And what gaskets can I just put on without any additional items (i.e Valve Cover).

anything that touches water, timing chain cover, intake front and rear (only the ends) oil pan (very lite coat) fuel pump mount. i use the blue silicone. i seems to work good and it doesnt burn your nose hairs. most important thing is dont use too much. im sure some others will provide some input also. good luck.
