In NEED..

And you wonder why I like the simplicity of the Upgraded Mopar Electronic Distributors and their tag along E-Coils.

Just drop them in on TDC pointing to #1, simple as that.

Now here we are with some aftermarket mopar distributor that has an issue with a clip and can't seem to get it timed right, after multiple tries.

And the OP is all confused.

I would have had my simple ignition all set up and working properly by now, like yesterday.

And driving around thinking about the next project, like maybe upholstering the seat, something a lot more fun.

_______________

OP is going through the trial and error learing process about getting his car going. That's how he will learn, that's how we all learned.

Mopar manuals are a big help to make sense of what a person is trying to do. When it makes sense then you can move forward.

UNBELIEVABLE.

You keep harping on the manual. Don’t you get it?

I just checked, and my truck is pointed slightly northeast, but my rotor is pointed to the west. I wonder where it will point if I drive a few miles and park facing south??? I'll be right back....

Your rotor is your compass... go West young man, go West!

And we’re off… it won’t be long now and I’ll catch hell because I go after Christian’s. The gentiles ***** because I call them out.

Catholics call me a heretic and Protestants call me an offshoot.

People should know I don’t like or dislike anyone or anything.

I just don’t play well with others when their heads are up their rectums.

Yeah, I probably threw it off, but I thought it was funny.

Here is another example with Dne007's finely done 1963 Dodge Dart Build. All brand new mopar electronic ignition setup with ballast resistor and a no spark / no start situation. Results of failure > the reproduction mopar brain box, no spark (fake transistor ECU, China).

As recommended by halifaxhops: unless you can find a good OEM original brain box, he recommended sending her out the Mopar / HEI conversion kit and supporting full 12 volt PerTronix Flame Thrower III Coil. No longer needing the inline ballast resistor.

Started right up for her, end of the no start situation.

Such a fine, highly detailed restoration build she is doing, recommend checking it out.

Should end the arguments. A VERY good explanation. Thanks Tim!
