Indy 440EZ heads..Head bolts?

When using Indy 440EZ heads and the Manley head bolts do they require washers or not? The bolts didnt come with washers and im not to keen on using the bolts without the washers...So my question is are they dwsigned not to use washers?

I personaly would use washers If there alm.without washers thats new to me???just saying.........Artie

I used washers on mine with studs though. Never used aluminum without studs.

Thanks guys..I was told that the bolts were special?? They look no different then arp to me.
