I was wondering if I could get some opinions on how well any of the heads that Indy offers would work on a high Hp street 408 (425-475hp). Any suggestions or opinions will be giving thought and consideration. I will probably run this car on the track once or twice a year.

I think the indys would be over kill for a 450hp engine. Eddys would be plenty. My stock stroke 340 is making 480hp with ported J heads.

Buy Adams ported J heads - you will be happy and then Adam can go buy a set of Indys and he will be happier :toothy7:

LOL. I wouldnt mind a 4" stroker crank either. Hmm, 4" crank, indy heads, 550 plus horse.

I have ported eddys on a 416 with a roller cam. It made 574 horses @ 6400 and 544 lbs torque @ 5900. I also ran the same heads on a 340 unported with 557 MP solid lifter cam. It turned 12.4 in the 1/4 in a 3000 lbs duster. so it was some good power. When i used the forumal out of the engine manual the nos were apox 430 horses. Eddies will work in your applacation. Harry
