I could be wrong but those clips look nothing like these which are the proper clips for the upper and lower trunk panel trim for a 68 Barracuda

Also, the top clips are different than the bottom clips.

Curiously although it states 68-69 Barracuda the category says B body?

Possibly a typo.

No way these fit a 68 Barracuda .

The proper clip has edges that fit into an upper and lower channel in the mouldings and the stud is in the middle of the clip .

There should be a simple misinformation sticky. Not a pi$$ n moan thread, but simply products that are misrepresented and flat-out incorrect. I bet that would get some retailers attention.

I can tell you that they ARE 69/identical from some I got from a member a while back.

Sorry. No.

The 69 clips are designed to slip inside the finish panel and use the nylock nut you show in your pic of an original. Also, the stud on the aftermarket clip is too long. It will hit the lower trunk lip when the trunk lid is closed. The speed nut is also not correct and will only work if it fits inside the confines of the space allotted in the trunk lid l.If you look at the pic you posted you will see how much shorter the threaded stud is. When tightened down, it only comes to the very edge of the nylock nut.
Possible the pic from the supplier is a generic one though and you actually received the correct one. Do you have a pic of it?
This aftermarket clip might be able to be modified to work but not in its present configuration.

OK, as I stated I have some originals and a package on its way, I will post comparison pics/If all I have to do is to trim the stud/thats easy...

I agree with "A56" post/just helping out:thumbsup:

Understand and thanks for posting these as I think they are identical to the 69 Satellite trunk finish panel hardware.

Here's a pic of 69 Dart finish panel hardware sold by Year One that looks much closer, besides not using the proper nylock Speed nuts. Note the felt lined contact surface designed to move easily along the aluminum contact surface of the trunk finish panel.

Your curiosity is validated!

My searches on this hardware states its for a 1969 Plymouth Satellite trunk finish panel.

The picture of the part is wrong half the time as well.
