installed promatic truck shifter on bench seat car

So I didn't want to lose my bench seat but didn't want to reach to the floor to shift because I have a manual valve body tranny. I decided to try out the truck version of the promatic shifter and I'm really happy. It clears the dash and bench seat and places the shifter handle in the perfect spot. It does tuck up against the seat so anyone maybe 5'3" or under might be out of luck because the seat can't shift forward much further.

I thought about going this route too. The reach isn't too bad with the regular one though. Granted, I can't slide my seat forward. haha

I also installed the truck version of the Hurst Pro-matic in my '67 Barracuda bench seat car. I modified the handle. By having the arm bent farther back I was able to position the shifter body farther forward on the transmission tunnel and not have to worry about hitting the dash. Then the seat was able to have full adjustment.

Thanks man I'm real happy with the way it turned out. I can totally see that working. If bent bank some more it wouldn't smack the dash going into park. Good thing for me is no one drives that car but me so it won't ever have to scoot forward any lol.
