Installing 1964 Barracuda tail lights

Local auto body place removed both tail lights since they both were in terrible condition and needing to be replaced. Picked up two OEM ones at Classic Industries but all the parts/clips were either lost or have been misplaced to attach back to the body and I have never replaced them in the past. Need to know "how to". Thanks, Terry

They attach using nuts on the studs. The nuts are stamped "self threading" 65'
 
Since there are no holes for which the studs are to be inserted, the nuts are suppose to hold the light housing in place? That is a little hard to believe. Can you please take a picture of your 65 tail light so I can visualize what you are talking about. thanks
 
Looks like those holes in the quarter panel are elongated. Mine are actually holes, you may need a washer behind the nut. 65'
 
Yes they originally had nuts with captive washers. I put additional larger washers beneath those nuts. Clipped the edge of some washers for clearance.
