I have a 1969 340 that has been rebuilt....not sure what was done to it and I am trying to find out . It has the stock intake on it..I also have an old holley street dominater .Not to worried about the extra wieght.....should I be looking at a new intake are the new ones that much better.

340 stock manifolds are very good. Street dominator would be a power loss. It has 318 small ports.

Put a 1" 4 hole spacer on your stock piece. Works very good.

If you want aluminum, go with a LD340, RPM or Air Gap

i agree with above, you can also block the heat crossover if you only drive in warm weather

I have a pair or Weiand Stealth intakes. Testing against a Holley Strip Dominator showed less than .10 difference in my particular race only application with lots of gear, converter and cam duration. It should work well in most milder combos.
