It’s been a while since I’ve been on.
Moved, new job, life in general.
I just got the car going again and noticed a slight coolant leak up on the top of the intake along the head. Didn’t seem like much but found small puddles on the ground. Pulled the radiator cap to check the level and found gasket material in the coolant. I’m guessing intake gasket but looking for opinions.
Doesn’t and hasn’t overheated. Oil is clean, no coolant in it.
360/408 with speedmaster heads and air gap intake.
Thanks for the advice.

Did you chech the oil for water?
Oil in the coolant?
Are you running with a thermostat?
Where exactly was the puddle?

No oil in the coolant and no coolant in oil. Yes, running a t-stat. Haven’t got under the car but is puddling just behind the drivers side wheel. Would be under the starter or master cylinder in relation.
I think it’s coming from the front through and blowing back.

Sounds like you ll end up pulling rhe intake anyway you look at it.

Do you think it could be coming from the front exhaust bolt ?

What is the likelyhood for that piece to get past the thermostat.

I think so.
The exhaust threads don’t go into the coolant passages on speedmaster heads and my t-stat gasket is rubber/silicone.
