intake question

Hi all
i am installing a vacuum gauge into my 65 slant with a carter bbs so i don't have any extra vacuum ports on the carb. i just have one for the distributor witch doesnt work because it only gets vacuum when the throttle plate is open. the carb is from a 63 so there are no provisions for the PCV. so do you guys know what the size of the plug is on the rear portion of the manifold so that i can take it out and put a compression/plug fitting on the back? I think the plug was used for power brakes later on, thanks

I think that it is a 3/8 pipe thread. If not, one step below that.


You can just go to the hardware store and get a nipple with that thread on it. Remove the plug and take it to the hardware store and get a 1/4" nipple with that thread on it and put it in the hole that the plug came in.
