I worked for GM and they would occasionally send some out to be crushed for one reason or another, they sent security guards along with em to make sure they got smashed good and flat. Tax writeoffs. Its nothing new, all of the Big 3 do it.

Check out some of the other videos of the Turbine from that Youtube page...very interesting Chrysler promo films. Chrysler was at the top of their game then. Thanks for posting!

Sad yes, but all companies do it. In the 60's I worked for Boron Oil Company and had to distroy "New" car parts, batteries,tires,etc. Did the same with Montgomery Wards,distroy "New" blenders,toasters,cookware,dishes etc. All under the eye of security agents.Gave us hammers and brought pallets of stuff to scrap.
