Interesting trick flow combo making its debut hopefully next week

This is got me thinking to use my 1 3/4 hustler headers instead of my 1 7/8 super comps ...seems like these motors might enjoy a little bit of back pressure

He launched the car( off the foot), stood it straight up, came down and damaged the pan. His outing ended before it got started.
It’s all fixed, gonna try to get it out again in the next couple weeks after making some tweeks.

I'll be curious to see how Krusty will run. It'll be alive in the next couple weeks. A few more cubes, all-out 360-1's, big headers, ATI Turbo-400, and should be a bit lighter.
The only caveat, is I'm starting with a Thermoquad. It was 30hp less than a trick 4150. It nosed-over on the dyno at 67-6800, with small headers.

Talked to Jack yesterday.
Car went 10.20@ 129xx first real outing. 1.300 60 foot, was 6.33 at 106 and change to 1/8
Has 4.88 gear in it, clicked it off about 1150 feet he said because it hit his 7k chip, didn’t want to run it further.
Taking some gear out and getting it back to track soon.
Weight on scales was 3425.

EDIT…. Told he he is positive it will dip into the 9’s when he gets it sorted out.

Is that the 850 or the 1000 comp thermoquad

Another local I know was up testing last Friday night at 131( where I had hoped to be)
He put his pump gas Bloomer headed mill in a light Duster they recently did( think it’s roughly 2700 pound)
Car ran 9.67@137. Not too shabby on pump swill with bolt on factory replacement heads

Do you know if that weight included driver?

Is there anywhere we can check out more info on that Duster?

3425 includes Jack behind the wheel.
The Duster is owned by the same guy with the green Duster I mentioned on here couple years back that competed in drag week and finished it.
Had a Bloomer headed stroker in it, think it ran 10.22 best at about 132
He has a son with a dark blue 70 Dart with bloomer heads that went 9.90 on pump gas last year during drag week. Both these cars are 3200 ish pounds
This new red duster is much lighter
