I'm in talks with a guy that repops plastic parts for the D series pickups about reproducing 73-76 Duster/dart sport interior trim. (Sail panels, A-pillar, upper door trim, and door handle cups). The parts would be grey and need to be painted to color match to your car. He needs parts that are in good shape with no scratches or damage to make the molds. Any kind of scratch may transfer. So if you have any good parts that your willing to loan out to have molds made we might be able to get the ball rolling. He said the process would table abround 30 days and your parts would be shipped back. If any of you are in the D series truck groups on FB you have probably seen some of his parts. Pictures are repops for the D series pickup he currently sales. He also restored tin grills and repairs and rechromes bumpers.

You have his name or email or web address or business name?

Have you had any response with A pillar trim for Dusters? I have a 74 Duster and my trim is so bad, it split in half. I was at Carlisle in July and only found Dart trim in good shape but doesn't work in a Duster. It seemed like several vendors had trim but it was for Darts. This seems to be a much needed piece for Dusters, but does anybody have a good set willing to sacrifice them to have them make a mold out of them. The difference between the Dart and the Duster piece is the one leg on the Duster is longer and shaped different. Tomorrow I'll see if my Duster leg can be grafted on the Dart piece to see if it may work out.

I gave up on it. Not a single person other than me offered up any parts. My A-pillars are still in one piece, but not in good enough shape to make a mold. Any imperfections in the parts will most likely show up in the mold. I have pretty good upper door trim. My plastic sail panels are in pieces, so I swapping to early metal ones. The guy that was willing to get the parts made has done alot of parts for the D & W series trucks. He has interior trim, tail light and side markers, bumpers, grills, and more. It's really too bad people aren't willing to step up.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I don't know if anybody has a decent set just laying around. I didn't get a chance to see if I can graft the duster leg on the dart piece, but then might not be good enough to use for a mold. I'm just wondering why the duster A pillar trim disintegrated while the Dart pieces I saw all looked good. Another case of saving money some how by Chrysler.
In 1990 I sided my house with Naillite vinyl. The sun burnt holes through it because they eliminated the UV protection from the tiles. Needless to say I had to completely reside my house. Just wondering if Mopar did the same thing.
