IR Repeater for Hidden Stereo

Has anybody ever tried using an IR repeater on a stereo hidden in the glovebox? I like the idea of not having to drive with the door open to use the stereo's remote. Just wondering how well they work. Lots of different ones out there. Looking at something like this.

Hey Rob.I don't know that product,but I know PAC well.Used some of their crossovers.For the money,a good product.Used 3 of their crossovers,no problem whatsoever.
