I finally got enough money together to pay for my heads and the rest of the parts to finish putting together my 360 la. I never degreed a camshaft before so i hope this is right. I used the comp 262 and followed the instructions with the cam. I came up with 104.5 icl and the cam card says 106. I used the cloyes 9-1103 chain set. I thought about using a tensioner but did not put one one. Should I worry about it, advance it, or would a tensioner help? The engine will be for street only. Here is my thread for the build.

Yup, close enough. And you wouldn't advance it, its already 1.5* to far advanced, you would retard it. For the street, it will have more low end power at this ICL over the 106*. Good to go, no worries.

Thanks, I thought it was good but thought I would ask because this is first time degree cam. Not that bad. Won't think twice in the future about doing it.

Where does the cam start opening the intake valve? Possible PTV issue?
