is 727 lock up converter same as A518 converter?

I have a a518 lock up converter I would like to use in my 727.
My 727 is a lock up box too and they look identical. Even input shafts etc are identical. Are they interchangeable

There is a 3 digit code stamped on the body of the A518 converter. If you can post that, I'll let you know more about it. They may or may not be the same.

I have changed them back and forth over the years. No problems of any kind. Kim

Thanks for the reply guys. I have put it in the car now so unfortunately I can't read the numbers. I measured the shaft coming out of the boxes and they looked identical. Hopefully it will be ok.
