is a stock pump enough for a six pack setup???????????????

Is a stock replacement (parts store brand) mechanical fuel pump enough to run a six pack setup? Or should I upgrade to a higher volume nechanical fuel pump, like a carter?

i would be inclined to try a good part store one, i think the carters are not what they use to be. Remember the stock 6 bbl has only one acc pump and three bowls, i think i would be more worried about fuel starvation with a holley DP with two pump shots and two bowls.

from the factory all 340 cars called for the same fuel pump I would go with the carter muscle car pump they are a decent pump and low cost

I Have a carter mech. strip pump feeding 2 holley 600 vac. sec. on a small block, no top end problems so far.
