Is it harder to buy used parts these days or is it just me?

I've sold parts on all platforms here. Only had two that went a little sideways, but I made it right. One I replaced a model car to a member who received the one I sent and sent picture windshield frame was broken. The other I sent the member $5 back on a radiator shroud that I had quoted the price from post office 6 miles north of me. We were leaving on vacation, so I took the part and sent it from the next town South, about 20 miles, and it changed the shipping(cheaper). He was pissed because of the $5. But as said before, no-one considers the time of running back and forth. I just finished taking pictures (50) and sending to an inconsiderate dude, of 1/64 collectibles. Only to have him send back. "Hey thanks, but not what I was looking for" They filled all his requirements posted in his want ad. Consideration and courtesy has left the building.

Heck, I can take a package to out local PO and get a price on Mon. Take it back to send it off on Tue, same PO lady measures it and weighs it... and get two way different quotes!!!!!!
And.... I took a long box in to the PO one day for a quote, she gives me the price, I collect that $ from the buyer... take it back to send it and I hear " SORRY, it is TOO long!"
So I take it to a U MAIL It store which I NEVER use, and it costs me a stupid $ and I lost $$$$$ (neg) on the sale. But I sent it and just called it LIFE!
AHhhhh...:LIFE!!!

Why don't you get an estimate online? That's what I do up here. Its the same process...punch in the zip, dimensions and weight. There are also flat rate boxes which are cheaper than using your own box. I would never drag my ars down to the post office just to get an estimate.

I try to also sell parts off the local Craigslist, but let me tell you my honest opinion about that.
For me, anyway, it seems that everyone is just a shopper, tire kicker, look-e-loo, or picture collector.
I have local folks say i want it, i want it, i gotta have it, and then never follow through.
One guy even lived on the west side of a major city street probably 3/4 of a mile away from me.
And even these A, B, C, E, body sites have slowed down quite a bit, in selling parts.
But that's just the way that it is, and what ya gonna do?

EDIT:
For me anyway, it certainly seems that my local Craigslist is nothing but a big joke in trying to advertise parts, and then try selling them.
Now yesterday a guy was telling me he would definitely be here in town, and would buy two Holley carburetors from me.
The day before, told him how to get here, gave him the directions, and after that, still a no show.
I just can't seem to figure people out, that say they need the part(s) want the part, and then don't show up, or give any communication as to why.
Ya i know, it was too good to be true wanting more than one part.
Craigslist is pretty much just scammers and losers!

Really?
I have met lots of hot singles in my area through Craigslist.
