Is it just me or is this wrong??

Exactly adriver. It's all in one's perspective I presume. It's just that with all the new repro pieces coming avail for E-bods, with cowls and such, it seems that the ability to "patch" around the numbers is a reality. I guess I was just wondering where people draw the line on whether a car is restored or re-bodied. From the lack of interest in stating opinions, I presume that those that think it OK wish to remain silent. For those that don't I guess they want to keep the "blood line" pure lol.

For me, I know a couple that have been, and the response is always negative towards them. Yet, those that have had every other piece of metal replaced get the thumbs up..

The reason I was interested was some of the restos being performed now, and the lack of original metal on the shells prior to "restoration", and how these cars are "not" referred to as rebodies.

I heard of a car getting stolen, and 30 years later,
it "reappeared", from the VIN being used on a diff car. :(
