Is it possible to swap a couple 7 1/4 parts over to my 8 3/4?

Hey guys I just pulled my 8.75 apart and all is well inside there but the brakes need to be comletely rebuilt on it, now my 7.25 has new rebuilt brakes with new drums. My 8.75 has the small bolt pattern like the 7.25 and would my 7.25 brake assembly bolt right up to my 8.75?

If the brakes are 9" I would not use them. You have to look at the backing plates to see if they are in good shape where they bolt to the rear. The 7 1/4 uses 4 bolts and the 8 3/4 uses 5. You can drill the extra hole but the 8 3/4 also has gaskets that go in between backing plate and the flange on the rear.

if they brakes are the same swap them over don't even bother with the backin plates unless they are larger which shouldn't be.
