I was at the bone yard yesterday and there was a fresh 97 or 98 Jeep grand Cherokee there... it is;
5.2l 4x4 automatic with an 8.25 rear (unknown if its suregrip) and the rear disk brakes. Also I started it and runs very very smooth (didnt try putting it in gear tho).
When I finished my rounds I asked bud how much for the rear brake setup. He would only sell the rear complete for $500 which is a little much. For ***** and giggles I asked how much for the whole thing... now get this $800!
Well now I'm wondering if this 5.2 will bolt up to a small block 727 and if the engine mounting ears are the same as older 318 blocks?
So... is this a decent price for the Jeep if I can use the engine and disk brake setup on my 8.75 and sell whatever else I can?
