For me I am getting older so sometimes Im in a hurry but mostly not. I remember when I was younger life was a rush everywhere time time time thing, now I enjoy driving the speed limit taking in the sights. I do still enjoy V8 power and it can be old school 250- 325 horse range and for me thats fine on the street. It is at the cost of v8 gas mileage also so economy factors in I can see how a slant 6 would be a well rounded between performance and economical expeience. People forget how the big performance engines drank gas but gas was cheap and stopping for gas every other day was just part of it.
