"It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas"

Who’da thunk?

I have legit cop spec tires on the back of my dart. A Mopar buddy got them for me when he was a wrench for kcpd (thanks Chris! )

I'll be damned. I always thought "cop" tires were just "to spec" I never knew they ACTUALLY SAID so on the tires!!

These were on my 1969 CHP Polara
Bluestreak Police Special Polyglas HB-1 8.55-15 (Marked: Police Special Polyglas)
It was my understanding this was the first year Goodyear had a tire developed specifically for police use.
