My car has been apart for over 3 years and it's finally shaping up. What do you think?

Sounds like that engine is purring like a lion, and it sure is running smooooth!! Nice job, it looks great!!

Sounds Great !! And gets good Marks also !!

It's was white from the factory so I stayed with it plug the street hemi orange motor really stands out. It's a balanced 9.5 72 340 with an A999 lock up trans with OD and low first and second gears. I found a good majority of my stuff on CL and here. The tired original 273 was wore out and is on the stand. The 340 makes it want to go sideways when you get on it. My next thing is getting the glass and headliner out and get it ready for the body shop....again. I will be swapping to an air gap intake. I didn't notice that the Weiand was 318 ports until I needed to use it. Does anyone know a decent body guy in Chicago?

That is sounding great!!!!

Nice burnouts!!! :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

KK came and helped me get her going and dialed her in. Thanks Buddy :)

I made another check list to get her ready for the body shop. I can't for the life of me find 3/8 metal fuel line so I can bend the carb to pump line. I tried every auto store near me and all they carry is brake line.

LMAO! You think 3 years is long? Try almost 9 years now for me. Yours looks good and sounds good. Can't wait to finally fire mine over. Should be within a couple weeks. Been a long time coming for me now.

I know the feeling. I had my last Valiant for 10 + years and sold it to someone who actually finished it.

i can look down here. Like I said the place (Autozone) I got the spare 5/16" steel lines had some 3/8" ones...

Go to a heating and AC supply for the line. They have it in aluminum.

And today I dropped my rear window on the driveway and reduced it to a pile. It's a good thing I keep spares :)

Still have to figure out 1 more oil leak at the oil relocator on the block.
