j bolt for gas tank strap locally?

Just wondering if the j-bolts for gas tank strap are available locally at auto part store....I had one snap off trying to change gas tank and sender today....I know you can buy them on ebay but I would like to buy one locally tomorrow and not have to wait... Anyone know? thanks
 
may be try Doman. most parts houses can get there parts. .and dont forget the anti-size compound on all threads on the bottom of the truck.
 
No luck, but a local radiator/gas tank shop make their own out of 3/8 carriage bolts for installing gas tanks....heat and bend near the head....they are really nice.....they had a few bent up already so I just bought 2....Also, I just got done installing my new gas tank and sending unit which I purchased off ebay

Worked well....I used the new lock ring that comes with it....I know, I know, You all say to use the old lock ring but I am daring....I used the new one and the sending unit sealed good with no leaks....I filled it up to the top and drove for awhile, then let it set for awhile and got under to look, and it was dry as a bone....no leaks....

Oh , so now my gas gauge finally works! Yay!

The brass float had a hole in it where the arm clamps around it so it was sunk.....Also the plastic piece inside the sender that has the resistance wire wrapped around it fell out and was laying in the bottom of the tank....the metal arm on the other end of the float touches this piece, that is how it varies its resistance between 10 ohms and 90 ohms....So it had two reasons why it wasn't going to work....


Now tomorrow I undercoat everything
