Hey 66cuda were you there the day Jungle Jim rolled his Nova funny car? He ran down the strip, pulled for his chute and nothing came out. For you guys that do not know of Detroit Dragway, there was not a very long shutdown areaand at the end was a place called Ford woods. They were all woods. He said he counted to three and turned the wheel rolling to almost 200 feet from the woods. I too have fond memories of Detroit and 60's drag racing. Oh yeah I too saw sox and martin on a few occasions.
