Yeah they got serial numbers on them but I wouldn't begin to know how to trace it.

The last one that was on TV wasn't real when they took it for verification. I can't recall for sure who they took it to for verification but it seems like it was the Earnhardts.

There was on one Pawn Starts a few years back. There is no way to trace them back to a vehicle or driver

Here is a real deal if you want to see one. That's my wife's hat, she personally got all the autographs. She also got pulled out of Dale Earnhardt's race car once before a race. Good thing she was younger and has huge personalities or that would have been bad news.

Im positive on the first 2 signatures, the last 2 I would need to confirm with her, she isn't home right now.

Signitures are:
Dale Earnhardt
Chocolate Myers
Richard Childress
Andy Petree

The 3 is likely to have something to do with the mold number.

They have stamping code's for date made, shift, mold, compound ect.
Just give it a little thought, here is no way that Goodyear will make a tire for a specific car in NASCAR.

True but the guy said he got it right after the race at the track, but people tell sssssssssssstorys dont they.

you can call goodyear with the #s and they can tell you what race these were made for but not what team bought them this is what I have been told by a hardcore enthusiast .

Very cool!

Too bad you didn't get the rest of the car with it... (Or what was left over...)

One of my roommates in college had a friend who worked pit crews for Goodyear on weekends. He once got a hold of a 33" racing slick on a rim that was defective (but didn't show it). He let my roommate borrow it for the year and he had a piece of 1/2" glass cut in a circle a bigger than the diameter of a tire and we used it for a table in our dorm room. He also used the small hubcap from his 67 Camaro for an ashtray. It cleaned right up at the end of the year with some windex. We had to return the tire at the end of the year, but it made a great conversation piece while we had it. GO FOR IT - they make great tables.

We were sent to Indianapolis once for work. While we were there our coworker and friend, Dwight, told us that we had to eat at this one steakhouse while we were there (I can't remember the name, but it was a very popular place). The steaks were excellent, but a little expensive. While we were eating our appetizers, a group of 4 guys in GM Goodwrench jackets are escorted by our table to be seated. Dwight saw them coming and says, "Hey, it's Dale Earnhardt." :D

I thought that he was just joking, as we were always joking around. Then I look up and HOLY ****, IT WAS DALE EARNHARDT!!! I was tempted to ask him for an autograph, but felt like giving him a little privacy at dinner. (How would you like it if you went out to dinner and everyone started asking for your autograph). So we just left him and the guys that he was with eat in peace.

In hindsight, we should have gotten an autograph, as I never was able to bump into him again and get one before he crashed a couple years later. :-(
