Just Want To Make Sure (PerTronix)

So I've read in the directions that you bypass the ballast...so I'm assuming that you just disconnect the wires from the ballast and splice em together...am I correct on this? Just don't want any wires burning up if I do this...

I have the PerTronix distributor with the ignition II as well as the Flamethrower II coil...

I just installed pertronix 3 on my 69 dart which had ballast with 2 wires ... and that is exactly what i did .... bypassed resistor and works great ....

Thanks for the info memike (wish it was more PerTronix related) but I still learned something!

rrvolare...what are you using for a coil?
