No sooner did I rebuild my 904, do I find a pretty good deal on a complete 1970 383 engine. The guy says he pulled it out of a D100 years ago, it needs a rebuild, and he only wants $200. Seems like a deal to me, when I was racing street stocks we'd pay almost $1 a cubic inch, usually $300 for a chevy 350. All well, I guess I'll pick it up, maybe do something with it someday.

That's how it goes sometimes.

But I agree, pick it up for that price, you can't beat it and save it for a future project.


Besides, now you can beat the crap out of the small block so you can blow it up and install the 383....
