With a....
4.030 bore....030 over
72cc head
.039 gasket
.010 deck clearence.....

I got 10.23 to 1

If the calculations are correct and you want to run pump gas, you will need a decent size cam to bleed of some compression off. If you have a cam in mind, i might be able to run the specs and get a dynamic compression number for you. I personally like a max of 8.0 to 8.25 so you can still run a aggresive timing curve. Just my opinion.

I ran it using the above numbers and used 500' altitude as a average figure.........Dynamic came to 8.14 to 1.....not bad in my opinion. At 100' alt. would be 8.22 and a higher alt. would lower it a bit. Should give a cranking compression number around 160lbs.

In case anyone wants to know, i use Wallace Racing's calculator..........
