An interesting conflict arose in Season 1 Episode 3 of "West Coast Customs", a restoration/fabrication business one can watch on Netflix. It seems the shop upholstery man picked out a neon green to complement an orange bench seat. The owner/manager was overwhelmed by his employee's choice of a green that really conflicted with the other color and insisted on a more subtle shade of green, not neon for heaven's sake! The funny thing is, this difference of opinion between the two had become a common occurrence during final color choice decisions on other projects.

The color suggestions made by the upholstery man were so consistently off-the-wall, that the boss decided to accompany his employee to the eye doctor where, during the examination, he is diagnosed as being color blind! Keeping the little color-blind exam booklet chart in a desk drawer might be a good idea for a quick pre-employment check for those in the body/fender and upholstery business to consider.

.............Furthermore, people should think a little when they choose colors. There was recently a REALLY nice car for sale I might have actually bought, except the owner had painted it (my opinion) a GOWAD AWEFUL color, and you are talking to a guy who used to own a limelight Road Runner!!

I used to be a bodyman and am color blind, I can still tell different shade's compared together like paint matching, but I can't tell green from brown in certain shades. My next door neighbor had a Ram truck and I always thought it was black. He put it up for sale and a guy in town asked me how much my neighbor wanted for the green truck I was puzzled because for 4 years I thought it was black. I took a closer look when I got home and sure enough it was green. GG1 looks black to me if i don't really look close. I failed the color test, says I'm red/green color blind, but I see red just fine.

Same here mitch greens and browns even orange looks lime green to me....wtf ..it cost me from getting a job in an inkroom..hell I didnt even know I was..I usually dont speak color till other guy mentions it..and if I have to choose I get an opinion
