Key is stuck in lock cylinder

Id start by making sure the gear selector is all the way in the park position...the linkagie thingie might be out of adjustment holdin it and therefore won't let the key turn all the way back.spray a lil' wd 40 up in there also and try gentle wiggling and turning it to acc and on till it comes out or you may have to disect the column and have new tumblers put in it good luck
