A little expertise needed please.

I have an Eddie intake and carb on my 318/ 904.
The throttle cable is worked out, The kickdown rod I am using has an adjustable threaded end on it where the slide connects to the carb.
Questions are.. with the engine off and all at rest should the kickdown be all the way forward? Then at full throttle be pulled all the way back?
Or do I just need to experiment?
I would like a starting place to adjust from there.

Did you get the "Mopar Throttle Lever Extension" piece from Edelbrock with your carb? If not, get one. Use the same kickdown stud from your original carb, and the kickdown should hook up pretty easily.

The kickdown rod should be all the way back at WOT. More importantly, the kickdown lever at the transmission should be all the way back to it's stop at WOT. Adjust the threaded portions of the linkage to make this happen.

Thanks Chief!!
Do they still fly the C130's? Geat work horse ship.

I think I have it worked out!!
No I did not buy the throttle adapter for the carb. No -one locally had one. I will in the future if this doesn't work out, but, it looks like it did.
