I found my kickdown is broken where it attaches back near the firewall the rod was apparently epoxied at one time and that went unnoticed till a few days ago when it broke so now I need a linkage its a console shift 727 in the Dart Sport 340.

The rod itself can be replaced or welded.......Which rod broke the vertical one? Or did the post on the bracket bolted to the motor that holds the pivoting part break?.... Pics would help see what exactly you need

there are some pics..it broke off that pivot point back by the firewall..im assuming the rest of it is ok as it worded B4 that epoxy "fix" snapped...

That rod just snaps onto that ball....It should snap and hold on there though....It should take a little force to pull it off.....There is supposed to be a metal clip like thing on the end of the rod around hole that clasps around the ball....If somebody epoxied it, it is probably missing.....That is all you need...you can see it in the link to another members picture....It is the middle rod in the picture and it the metal piece at the far left of the picture
