kickdown linkage question

My 69 cuda shifts too early it is a 318 904 car. It now has a holly 600 instead of a 2 barrel. Do i need different linkage for it to hold longer when i get on it? 2 barrel linkage different from 4? i can not adjust it anymore.

the Lokar setup is easy IMO, I have both kickdown and throttle linkages. you cut the cable to fit. if thats what you meant by easy or hard??

You can buy a Edelbrock 8003 linkage extender to get it to work too.
It's under $10.00.
