I recently pulled a /6 from a 72 Demon, and replaced it with a 360 and 904 tranny out of a 76 Cordoba. The kickdown linkage looks like it is close to working, but not quite.

Is this linkage the same as a 72 a body small block linkage? If not, do you believe it can be made to work? It seems to hit the metal flange where the floorpan meets the firewall, if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The /6 kick down is shaped differently, and is slightly longer due to carb placment on the different engines. You will be better off to get some kick down from a V8 car. You could bend waht you have, but then you will have to shorten the /6 stuff just slightly.

Keith, I think the problem is that he is using the Cordoba linkage and it hits the firewall. My BB Cordoba has a one piece kickdown linkage and my a-body stuff is a multi-piece with bellcranks. So this is the stuff he needs.

Yea Chuck thanks for correcting that, after rereading it he just needs the A body kick down.
