Howdy! Been lurking a bit - helped solidify my desire to build a Dart. Wife wanted a wagon, and had been looking for a decent start on a Nash, but couldn't find one, so convinced her to let me have a Dart. So, I picked up what appears to be someone's start at a drag car in January of 2024. We assume they ran out of money/interest, so the builder sold it to recoup costs. Already has disc brakes all around, coilovers, mini-tubs, unibody reinforcements added (not sure what this is really called, but added parts underneath to extend the subframe), majority of the rust addressed, front frame rails added for Gen 3 Hemi install, and most of the bits and pieces included.
I've picked up a motor/trans from a 2015 Challenger R/T shaker (would like to have a shaker hood), and have a 727 from 727Specialists on the way. So far I've been working on cleaning up bits an pieces here and there (like the fender extensions), and a little rust mitigation. It's been slow going as 2024 was a year of back and neck surgeries, but hoping to make really good progress in 2025. I figured that as I really got going I would have a lot of questions, and a lot of knowledge has already been shared here. Number one right now is painting the block: it will be Hemi Orange, but do I do just the block? Heads and front accessory cover as well?

Anyways, thanks for having me!
