Kudos to those that put their cars back together without scratching or damaging the freshly painted, restored parts. I'm currently trying to get my interior put back in and it seems like if I even look at the part, a scratch ends up appearing.. I just installed a vent box that has been finished for months with a freshly painted door...stored away safely, and somehow there's a chip in it. Excuse me while I go punch something...again.

we have all been there, patience is the key. When you start to get frustrated just walk away and gather yourself before attempting to install that part.
take your time and enjoy the ride..Rich

Like Mad dog said.. Also i just bought a lot of tape and Some Moving blankets from harbor freight .. Tape is cheap compared to fixing it

It's annoying but just put a dab of touch up on it and be done with it. No one will ever know it's there other than you and if they do notice it, they won't care anyway.

But someone always seems to notice it and ask "what happened there ?"
Exactly...lol
Here's one that's going to drive me crazy... fresh VIN tag I scratched when riveting on dash.
