1. are LA hydraulic roller lifters interchangeable with the magnums (are they the same?)

2. what is the safest/reliable rpm for them (with the right valve springs and hardware )? (highest) I know someone will say 0rpm >>:rofl:
 
Maybe some, but not all of them are interchangeable.

Some of the LA roller lifters do not have a hole in the plunger so they cannot be used for pushrod oiling.

As to the rpm limit it depends on a lot of variables including valve train component weight.
 
i´m pretty sure what you can get nowadays as replacements they are all the same - at least i could not find any difference. I did not see any LA HR-Lifters without the pushrod oiling hole up til now.

Regarding your other questions: i ran these up to 7000rpm without any hiccup, regularly up to 6800rpm. No trick stuff, just basic Performance Parts. Heads / Springs set up by IMM Engine.
