If I were to put 318 Magnum heads and intake on a LA block, what must be done inorder to have a roller cam and get the assembly to work?

a roller cam small block....a standard LA block will not accept a 85-92 Roller Cam without the roller cam lifter galley and valvetrain of a Roller Block.

A Magnum Headed Standard LA Small Block, is just that.

A LA Roller Cam 318/360 with Magnum heads is different only by the Roller Cam.

Don't worry though...Chrysler 5th Avenues are damn near *free* these days...they have LA Roller 318's with 302' heads...as long as the engine is factory OEM Black.

you have to bore the lifter holes for rollers...which is why its easier to start with roller block or just put the heads on flat tappet cam

Huh??? Bore the lifters bores???

So you're saying the roller lifters are larger diameter than the stock flat tappet hydraulic stuff?

Also need the correct length pushrods. MP makes some for using magnum heads on an LA block with a Hyd flat tappet cam, but don't know about a roller cam.

hmm ive been off lately Thought I saw some were that said you had to, maybe bush them? I think i said that because when ever someone brings up converting they always talk about how much work needs to be done and how much it cost to do it
