Largest 15 inch tire on rear of 69 swinger

What is the largest 15 inch 60 series tire can you run on the rear of a 1969 swinger with 15 inch wheels .... What rim size and what offset did you use ? WITHOUT rolling wheel lip?.... Thanks ......

I just sent to 14 inch sbp wheels to Stockton in CA to conver to 15 inch rings ...

255/60/15 on 15x7s w 4.5 back spacing. Very close on my 69 swinger but don't hit. I had posted a thread on this a while back before purchasing my tires.

I'm running 15x7 4.25bs .. 255/60r15's on the rear of my '70 Swinger .... plenty of clearance on both sides of the tire. factory wheel tubs and no lip rolling !

it looks like 255-60-15 is largest tire on 15X7 with 4.25 or 4.50 backspace without mods .... i think i will go with 4.50 back space ... Thanks !

4.5 will get you that little bit extra away from your rear quarter. I'm currently looking for photo of them on my car

this - either backspace keeps you safe from spring or q-pnl rubbing.
